Palermo hosted a major fashion show on the monumental staircase of the Teatro Massimo, where Argentine brand La Martina presented its Autumn-Winter 2022/23 collection together with the special-edition capsule “La Martina Loves Sicily.” The event celebrated Sicily and its cultural heritage, with the island providing the setting and inspiration for the evening. The capsule collection consisted of seven genderless polo shirts featuring colors, symbols and motifs inspired by Sicilian identity. The show was attended by more than 200 invited guests, including journalists, influencers, celebrities, buyers and friends of the brand, while the public was able to watch the runway from Piazza Verdi. The event transformed the historic staircase of the Teatro Massimo into an open-air catwalk, bringing fashion directly into the heart of Palermo and involving the city’s residents in the celebration. The event was part of La Martina’s expansion in Sicily, particularly in Palermo and Catania, where the brand had strengthened its retail presence. Following the show, guests attended an exclusive cocktail party at the Giardini del Massimo. The evening combined fashion, architecture and Sicilian culture, presenting Palermo as both the setting and protagonist of the event.
