On Thursday evening, Terrasini hosted the Terrasini Fashion Night, a runway event produced by Rosi De Simone Eventi and promoted by the Comune di Terrasini and Mayor Giosuè Maniaci as part of the summer 2021 events calendar. The evening marked the return of fashion and public entertainment after the long interruption caused by the pandemic, bringing together local fashion businesses, designers, artisans, guests, and tourists in the Piazza del Duomo. The 40-metre runway featured collections by Blu in Blu, Capriccio, Kartica, Milano Junior, Milano Sposa, Monique, Nino Agemina, Ottica Carla, Pinto Ricami, and Toujour. The event was hosted by actress and showgirl Nathaly Caldonazzo, with music by Mauriziotto DJ, while Vivia Cascio coordinated the backstage and Milvia Averna handled the press office. The evening also included awards recognizing personalities from the worlds of art and fashion. Painter Pino Manzella, former collaborator at Radio Aut with Peppino Impastato, received the Terrasini Fashion Night recognition from Simona Cavaglieri, who portrayed Felicetta in Marco Tullio Giordana’s film I Cento Passi. Designer Nino Agemina received a career award, while young artisan Matilde Mannino was recognized for creating her own clothing activity during lockdown. The runway opened with children from ASD Paolo La Rosa, who danced to the favorite song of the young man whose death through an act of violence deeply affected the Terrasini community. Former models Rino Sardella and Giovanni Carcione, both prominent figures of the 1980s and 1990s, also took part in the runway. Among the models was Valentina Anzalone from Paternò, who began her career after a beauty contest and later entered the Roman haute couture scene through Renato Balestra, appearing on important Italian runways and in bridal magazines and Vogue.
