As a contributor to Factstory, the on-demand production agency of Agence France-Presse (AFP), I produce exclusive photographic coverage of current affairs and institutional events. In Madrid, I documented the official mission of Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport. The assignment included coverage of his meetings with José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, President of the High Council of Sports (CSD), at the European Commission Representation in Madrid, and with Sira Abed Rego, Minister for Youth and Children. I also covered the closing plenary session, where Commissioner Micallef delivered the keynote speech “Future Proofing Europe – A perspective from intergenerational fairness, youth and culture,” addressing the importance of building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable Europe for present and future generations. The visit concluded with a stop at the Film and Audiovisual School of the Madrid Region (ECAM) in Pozuelo de Alarcón.
