On May 27, 2026, in Madrid, the Spanish minister Sira Rego, the Palestinian ambassador Husni Abdel Wahed, the author Enrique Olaya, and figures from the cultural world took part in a meeting held at the Ministry of Youth and Children. Representatives from institutions, the cultural sector, and civil society gathered in Madrid for the presentation of the book “Palestina. Crónica de un genocidio” by journalist Enrique Olaya, hosted at the headquarters of the Spanish Ministry of Youth and Children. The event was attended by the Minister of Youth and Children, Sira Rego; the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Spain, Husni Abdel Wahed; the author Enrique Olaya; the actress Andrea Guardiola; and the singer-songwriter and poet Marwán. The meeting focused on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the consequences of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the role of the international community. During the discussion, Olaya presented the content of the book, while Andrea Guardiola read a poem dedicated to Gaza. Participants addressed issues such as the humanitarian emergency, the protection of civilians, and solidarity initiatives with the Palestinian population.
